Koran is an Android app developed by Quran books. Others apps created by Quran books are: Hadith in Tamil, Coran, Qurani.

Koran first became available on 09 Feb 2014. It is estimated that Koran has been downloaded between 100000 and 500000 times from the Play Store.

Koran 1.0 requires the following permissions:

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows an application to modify the current configuration, such as locale.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_SYSTEM_ALERT, shown on top of all other apps. Very few apps should use this permission; these windows are intended for system-level interaction with the user.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to write to external storage.
